Stretching after a workout helps you gain flexibility and range of motion, improve your posture, reduce muscle tension and stress, and improve blood circulation – all necessary for your muscles feel well enough the next day to return to work!
#3. Get enough sleep to promote muscle repair
Along the same lines, when you exercise, you create micro tears in your muscle fibers. They must be restored by sufficient recovery, including at least one to two days of rest per week and sufficient sleep.
When you rest, your body rebuilds your muscle fibers, making them stronger than they were before. We can all take it for granted, but that’s why rest is such an important part of your progress!
